The price was right and shipping was fast. Installing the mount is super simple. I have concrete ceilings so i had to go out and buy my own concrete screws but this was expected. The mount is easy to adjust and is well built. FYI, the piece of metal that connects the upper and lower mounting plates is a piece of common 1" square aluminum tubing (light and strong) with some holes drilled in it. Any major home repair store should carry longer pieces of this same aluminum tubing should you need to create a custom length extension rod. Super cheap and very easy to cut with a $5 metal hack-saw. I would give this product 6-stars if i could because it is hard to find a mount this inexpensive that fits the 8100 (a large projector with 4 mounting holes) perfectly....

They are certainly made for each other. The mount comes with all the essential supplies, and the instructions are very easy to follow. If you have the location on the ceiling well prepared to hold the 16lb EPSON 8100 projector, you should be able to have the mount and the projector installed within 30 min. The pre-drilled holes on the mount plate match well with the 4 out of 5 holes on the bottom of the projector. With my EPSON 8100 projector in place (thanks to the PROJECTOR GEAR Mount) I am now able to enjoy good picture quality movies in my home theater....

The unit is easy to install, and is well constructed. I like that it mounts close to the ceiling; a big deal for my basement. The only complaint is that the unit is unfinished and comes as raw aluminum. That kind of makes it stand out too much, and would have been better with a black or white finish that would blend in. I will probably paint it, or have it anodized for a better look....
