This review is from: Elite Screens EzFrame Fixed Frame Projection Screen, 16:9 Aspect Ratio - 106in. (Cine White)For the money, I would say this screen is okay. The reason I'm taking away two stars is because of the canvas quality, mainly the "black" backing. When the screen is pulled taunght on the frame, this backing has a tendancy to pull like a Hefty bag. If it pulls too much, the backing material with "run" just like a Hefty bag or any other similiar black, plastic material. This causes an uneven blackness on the back of the canvas. You might be thinking, "How does this affect the screens performance?" The black "runs" are lighter than the rest of the backing material. When light is projected onto the canvas, it doesn't reflect the same in these areas. The result is what appears to be "wrinkles" in the canvas. They are not wrinkles though. The way the screen is designed, it is virtually impossible to have a real wrinkle in the canvas. If the "white" side of the canvas was a little thicker, or the backing was a better material, this would likely correct this issue and the screen would be a 5 star screen. The first screen was so bad, I had to send it back. I could see the wrinkles all throughout the screen during a movie (Avatar). I realized what was causing the problem and RMA'd immediately. Amazon.com was very helpful and quick to get me a new screen. The second screen I was extremely cautious with and took extra time to let it acclimate to the room's temperature. After the second screen was installed, I was satisfied that I couldn't find any "runs" in the backing. The canvas also reflected light perfectly. Was the first one a fluke? No. It took a little time, but after about 2 months, a few "runs" started showing up. I can't notice them in action sequences, but they're there in certain still frames. Not too badly, but they're definitely there. I'm a little irritated that this screen has the potential to be awesome, and something like this is such a easy fix if the material was just a little higher quality. One last, slight flaw is that the center support backet was a bit too long on both screens. The could not only account for causing the "runs", but it also makes the screen bow out about 1/4" in the center.I'm satisfied overall with the current screen. I talked with Elite about the problems I had with the previous screen. They seemed fine to deal with, but I didn't have to since I was within the RMA window through Amazon. If the problem worsens, I may contact the manufacturer again. We'll see.........

I wanted a projector unit that would play DVDs because I didn't want to have to drag too many components outside every time we watched a movie. I did buy this projector for outdoor movies, not for indoor watching. If you're looking for an indoor projector, I think you could have a better setup with a ceiling-mounted projector and regular video inputs and surround sound.I opted for the non-HD projector because I didn't think it was worth all the extra money. Having said that, the picture that is projected is very clear and nice, so if you're able to tell the difference between a regular DVD and an HD-picture, you may be able to tell the difference with the projectors as well. I'm not that picky.The sound that comes out of the 2 side speakers is actually pretty impressive. It's enough that we don't need to add speakers if there's just a small group watching a movie. However, when we brought it out for a bbq, we did plug in computer speakers (through the headphone jack) for a more projected sound. Depending on your use, the built-in speakers may be adequate.It's extremely easy to set up. You plug it in, insert a DVD, and pretty much go from there. The remote allows more fine tuning than the buttons on the unit (zoom, picture aspect, color settings, etc), so definitely don't lose the remote! I like that you can manually zoom the picture in or out without having to movie the projector itself. In the box = projector, dust case, power cord. That's it. I think anything that plugs into a tv with video/audio inputs can be plugged into the Epson. I don't know why this unit is out of stock everywhere. Even the Epson store doesn't carry them. I also haven't seen them in stores. I had an order in with Amazon for one, but after 3 weeks I hadn't gotten any shipping notice, so I cancelled it and went searching for another online vendor....

We think showing big movies around the campfire will be great fun this summer. In the meantime we have set up a theater room in the family room in our basement. We painted a white screen on the wall. The picture is very good we are enjoying older movies again and watching new ones is even more exciting. It was very easy to set up and run. My husband even hooked up our surround sound to it....

I used it in conjunction with a 12' diagonal inflatable screen for outdoor movies during the summer. Also hooked up wireless speakers a few times as well as the X-box...after seeing how well mine works and how easy it is, my brother-in-law ran out and purchased 2 for gifts. My daughter uses it for trade shows when she travels..very easy carry on.. can't say enough great thins about it.......

I looked at a bunch of mounts, but didn't like any of the universal types. I found this one on Amazon and looked at their home website...wow, a custom made mount for less money than a universal mount I would have to mess with to make work. It arrived packed great, very well made smooth aluminum. Mounted perfectly to the projector, securly and easily. I mounted the plate to a ceiling joice and then attached the two together with the bolt and wing-nut. Too easy. Adjusts any direction you need to make work. It also mounts closer to the ceiling than many...so that saves some height in the room. Great mount for a great price....

This review is from: Panamax MIW-XT In-Wall Power Management Extender SystemThe Panamax PF Power MIW-XT In-Wall Power Management Extender System is a very good product and solves the problem of extending your power conditioner to remote components with a little planning. I have a built-in entertainment center with a TV niche in a different location from the components cabinet. In addition I decided to locate a sub-woofer in the rear of my media room. With this configuration I was not able to take full advantage of my Panamax 5100-PM power conditioner capabilities. With the MIW-XT I was able to provide both my plasma and my sub-woofer with clean, surge protected power. A couple things that are not specifically stated in the manual. First, most likely you will need to remove some components to make it fit correctly. Specifically, on the mounting plate there are two wing nuts that clamp between the sheetrock and the mounting plate. Most likely you will have to remove the one on the side with the electrical outlet / inlet if you use a single gang old work electrical box such as the Carlon part number B114R. To remove these wing nuts you will need a minature screw driver to unscrew the component on the back side of the mounting plate. I left the wing nut on the top nearest to the signal side in place to better secure the entire assembly to the wall. You should also know that because the electrical outlet / inlet fit very tightly in the Carlon B114R box you should only have the least amount of Romex cable in the electrical box. I will also say the email and phone support response time from Panamax is very good. Most responses received in a few minutes during working hours and the next day if outside working hours.Also I will repeat Panamax caution about purcahses from un-authorized sellers. You can find a few re-sellers that will sell the Panamax products at a lower price (a few dollars), but it's hardly worth saving a few dollars on the purchase side but losing the factory warranty and attached component warranty. Amazon is a authorized re-seller and generally has a good price. Be careful of resellers on Amazon's site who are not authorized by Panamax....

It is everything you could hope for and more. I love the design. It sets up fast, is easy to open and is just the right size for a living room or a medium size (up to 35 people) business meeting. I can't believe the price! I thought it was a good value at the original $250 price and now Amazon has it for under $85. If you need a protable screen, this is a great choice. Since it opens horizontally it is much shorter than other screens of this size. I am considering upgrading my projector now to show movies on tis screen instead of my old 27" TV....

It is sturdy and has an attractive design. Quick to set up and take down. Stored it stands discreetly in the corner of my apartment. The two large black borders that double as the case of the screen were well designed.I paired this screen with the Optoma DV11 and found it really did bring out the colours and brightness of the projected image.A significant complaint that I have is that the top inch and a half of the screen sags. I'm still trying to find a solution to this, however overall I do not find that it affects the projected image significantly....

The unit is just great. It takes up little space folded which comes in very handy in a motorhome. I also comes with a wall mountable bracket to do away with the stand which folds and attaches neatly to the unit. All you do is slide it on the stand and pull it to one of two detents. One is for 4X3 aspect ratio or 16X9. Very easy to work with and the gain of the picture is very good....
