I have a built-in entertainment center with a TV niche in a different location from the components cabinet. In addition I decided to locate a sub-woofer in the rear of my media room. With this configuration I was not able to take full advantage of my Panamax 5100-PM power conditioner capabilities. With the MIW-XT I was able to provide both my plasma and my sub-woofer with clean, surge protected power. A couple things that are not specifically stated in the manual. First, most likely you will need to remove some components to make it fit correctly. Specifically, on the mounting plate there are two wing nuts that clamp between the sheetrock and the mounting plate. Most likely you will have to remove the one on the side with the electrical outlet / inlet if you use a single gang old work electrical box such as the Carlon part number B114R. To remove these wing nuts you will need a minature screw driver to unscrew the component on the back side of the mounting plate. I left the wing nut on the top nearest to the signal side in place to better secure the entire assembly to the wall. You should also know that because the electrical outlet / inlet fit very tightly in the Carlon B114R box you should only have the least amount of Romex cable in the electrical box. I will also say the email and phone support response time from Panamax is very good. Most responses received in a few minutes during working hours and the next day if outside working hours.Also I will repeat Panamax caution about purcahses from un-authorized sellers. You can find a few re-sellers that will sell the Panamax products at a lower price (a few dollars), but it's hardly worth saving a few dollars on the purchase side but losing the factory warranty and attached component warranty. Amazon is a authorized re-seller and generally has a good price. Be careful of resellers on Amazon's site who are not authorized by Panamax....
