This review is from: Draper Accuscreens Fixed Gray Projection Screen (106-inch, 16:9 ratio)EDIT: I purchased this for 274.85, it seems to be higher now.I purchased this screen to use in my living room theater. It is functional but not outstanding. It is worth what I paid for it. The instructions were not the best but set-up was still fairly easy. The only real problem is that it came with a large but very slight discoloration. I think it's probably from getting wet at some point during shipping. The screen cloth is in the washing machine as I type this; if the stain remains I will not be happy. UPDATE: The discoloration/stain is gone after washing, all is well.Pros:Much cheaper than other screens in this size.Machine washable screen surface.Easy to remove/reinstall once wall clips are properly mounted.Cons:Flimsy screen border, if you don't position the four included wall clips exactly right the screen will not stay on the wall.Only comes with four wall clips, six would be much better, eight would be perfect. The sides of the screen bow in slightly, this could be fixed with more clips....
This review is from: Draper Accuscreens Fixed Gray Projection Screen (106-inch, 16:9 ratio)Edit: 2/1/2011Screen Material: High quality stretch material. My Optoma HD20 looks great on this gray material. Keep in mind this is high contrast gray with a .8 gain, so colors really pop and blacks look great, BUT be aware a dark room is necessary for optimal viewing.Frame: The stretch material fits tightly into the frame (as it should). Three clips are included to mount the screen to the wall. They trick is the clips must me place at the seams of the frame in order to pull the frame square. On its own the frame doesn't have the strength to stay square. The clips fit VERY right into the frame - to the point they feel like they will break.Overall I'm happy with the frame and screen for the money....
This review is from: Draper Accuscreens Fixed Gray Projection Screen (106-inch, 16:9 ratio)What a fantastic purchase. Takes a lot of space to assemble on the floor. I put down a clean sheet to help with any lint from the carpet. You really need to pull to get it into the groves, but that is what keeps it taut. Same goes for snapping it onto the bottom brackets....it works..you just have to pull it down around such. I like the fact that it is washable...especially with my 9 year old son and his gang of friends....
