This review is from: Elite Screens Manual Pull Down Projection Screen, 16:9 Aspect Ratio-150in (Matte White)I have owned this screen since July and I must say it has performed perfectly. We keep ours outside on the the patio year round as we watch movies by the pool, and have had no problem with it. The screen material is durable and displays a very sharp image from an entry level projector. I looked at the Dalite screens at the same size, but I wasnt willing to spend $1200-1500 just for a brand name. Elite screens has got a lifetime customer!...
This review is from: Elite Screens Manual Pull Down Projection Screen, 16:9 Aspect Ratio-150in (Matte White)We have a totally dark, dedicated theater with 12 seats in 3 rows. The screen was easily mounted directly to the wall with 2 screws into two studs (measure very carefully if you want to get it right first time). Used two six foot ladders and balanced it on top of both. My teenage son and I completed installation in about 45 minutes.Screen is just what I expected and it has really become the finishing touch for our dedicated room. We do not raise or lower it, so the retractable feature was secondary for us.If your wall will take it and your projector can fill it...this is a fabulous screen....
This review is from: Elite Screens Manual Pull Down Projection Screen, 16:9 Aspect Ratio-150in (Matte White)The screen itself is a great deal, 150" diagonal, with a 1.1 gain.My issue is that the screen arrived damaged. It arrives in a box that is roughly 139 inches long by 4 inches thick. This length has to cause problems during transport. It arrived with a gouge in the box, and I also noticed through the hole that they had sent a black cabinet instead of the matte white cabinet I requested.Long story short, It turns out that I like the black cabinet better than the white. I can live with the dents on the cabinet since it doesn't affect the screen. The chore of repackaging this screen and shipping it back, and not to mention the odds of even greater damage to the replacement screen kept me from sending it back.Once its out of the box, you may notice that some sections of the weighted pull down bar may have separated from the screen material, this can be remedied by popping off one of the end caps, sliding the bar to one side, and then reattaching the screen material to the stapled rubber stopper. This damage must have happened during transport. The screen looks great if you have the projector that can fill the 150" size. I'm currently running a Sony Pearl ( VPL-VW50 ) @ 1080P with Bluray and I must say I may never EVER go back to a crowed smelly theater again. The days of incessant talkers and candy wrapper noises not to mention the throngs of adolescents with their luminescent text screens that keeps me distracted from a movie may have finally come to an end....
