This review is from: 120\" Electric Screen (16:9) High Contrast GreyI'm very happy with my purchase! Despite the low-price this is a quality product and facilitates an excellent picture in my set-up. I'm using it in a room that has ambient/low light. I have white colored walls/ceiling so its impossible to fully darken the room as the light emitted from the projector brightens it. Im using an Optoma HD66 connected to HD FIOS Tv and a Playstation 3. Blu-rays, HD TV shows, HD games, etc all look amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the gray finish for anybody using this in a living room or non dedicated theater/completely light controlled set-up. It helps with the black levels immensely. Before buying this screen I was projecting on to a white wall - The blacks weren't very deep and the picture had a tendency to sometimes look washed out (especially in dark movie scenes). None of this is a problem anymore!Bare in mind this thing is huge, but if you have the space you wont be disappointed with the result. Mounting the unit is fairly simple - I drilled two holes into a concrete beam on my wall and inserted wall plugs. The screen is secured by just 2 screws and is going no where. This is definitely a 2 person job though. When the screen is in the fully down position there is no curl. Ive read that this is a problem for lower priced electric screens, but I have no issue at all with mine. The only real negative I can find about this product is the sub-par remote control. It looks/feels very cheap and sometimes doesn't work. This is annoying but I can live with it. I also dont like the fact that the wires for the wired remote control both come out of the top of the box. In my situation it means I have to curl/secure the excess cable to stop it hanging and looking messy. However once all is running and you're watching 120 inch High-Def content, all woes will be forgotten. So to summarize - amazing product for the price. If you're having any doubts then pull the trigger. You wont regret it....

This review is from: 120\" Electric Screen (16:9) High Contrast Grey-Smooth motor with a reliable remote control operation-Easy to use design-Easy to mount-Great packaging-The only complaint I have is that this screen gets a little uneven in the right lower corner. May be because it is not a stretched screen...

This review is from: 120\" Electric Screen (16:9) High Contrast GreyLet me first tell you that I'm always leary about reading that first review that's positive on any product. That's because I always think it is more likely to be a biased review from the manufacturer. Therein lies the irony by my being the first to rate this product positively having an unbiased opinion on it. My objective is was to put a big motorized screen in my living room to cover my picture windows. I wanted to view images with ambient light and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a Da-lite or Screen Innovations screen because I know my Epson 8700 projector would do its job well. I was at odds over a 150" white screen vs. a 120" grey screen because it would be a bigger picture with less image quality vs. a better picture that's smaller than 150". My home theatre installer installed several grey screens and told me to get the grey finish. After hours of research on motorized projector screens, I purchased the Elitech 120" high contrast grey screen, and I'm so glad I did. The picture I get on Blu-ray is just as good or better than an image at a movie theatre. It's also quite impressive on Direct TV HD. I recently watched a fight and was in awe of the picture quality; the reds were bloody red and the blacks were as black as my black leather chairs. I of course have to give much of the credit to the Epson 8700, but this screen also deserves some credit. I could not believe I was getting such a bargain at under $300--shipping included for this screen. Not only is the quality of the screen impressive, but so is the noise level, which is probably not audible from 10 feet away or more when it goes up and down. It makes a faint humming noise which did not bother me at all. There were practially no curls on the screen itself in the down position, and is not noticeable with an image on it. The only thing that didn't impress me was the cheap remote, which looks like something from a playschool kit. But it works so I can't complain. I compared this Elitech grey screen/Epson 8700 system to my white wall/Epson 8100 system at my vacation home, and this combo beats my vacation home image hands down, although the image on the 8100 gets 160"+. I can clearly see images in ambient light on the Elitech screen whereas I can't on the white wall system. In fact, I would compare the image quality of this Elitech grey screen/Epson 8700 system to any projector/screen system up to $10,000--and I paid a fraction of that price. The only thing I would have done differently if I had the space was to opt for a fixed screen, but that was not doable in my living room. If anyone wants more contrast, dynamic, and intense color to their projector image, I highly advise you get a grey screen. And if you are like me, who loves a good bang for their buck, get this screen--you won't be disapppointed. And this is not only my opinion, but from the opinions everyone who has seen the image quality on this screen....
