Initially, I thought I would need this 13-20'' extension as my basement ceiling is high. But I didn't end up using the extension as the projector has a vertical shift which made it easy to project the picture lower onto the screen without any problem. So, overall I am pretty satisfied, Instructions and looks aren't the greatest but it serves the purpose. you will not be disappointed if you are on a low budget like me :)...
