This review is from: FAVI 16:9/100-Inch Fixed Frame Projector Screen (FF-HD-100)I recently replaced my manual pull down Accuscreen with the Favi fixed. On first inspection during installation I noticed a separating of the pleat where one of the rods go to help support the tension of the screen. Truthfully I nearly sent the screen back because of this! I figured since it was here, I might as well give it a try and see if the Favi was worth saving. Well I'm happy to report the screen turned out to work well with my projector. I wasn't expecting the gain this screen has. I know it says 6 gain, but I find that a little unrealistic, maybe a lot unrealistic! lolIt does have a tremendous amount of gain though. My Accuscreen was 1.1, this has to be at least 2.0 or more..I'm guessing. Brightness as well as my contrast and colors had to be adjusted on the projector because the screen does have plenty of gain. The viewing angle is excellent for a screen with this much gain. The claims of 175 degrees off axis seem true to my eyes.Up until I began searching for an inexpensive fixed screen, I had never heard of this company. After contacting Favi, I was pleasantly surprised with how great their customer service was. They sent me a replacement screen ASAP without question. For the money this is a very nice unit. The frame will last forever! If you want to use your favorite screen material in place of the standard screen, this could be a very good way to go. You may find that you are happy with the results of the standard screen and not worry about changing the material to something else....

This review is from: FAVI 16:9/100-Inch Fixed Frame Projector Screen (FF-HD-100)It took about 2-1/2 hours to assemble this screen. The packaging was fine. Some of the hardware was different from the instructions, and some was mis-matched.The frame went together fine and seems relatively sturdy. Some of the screw holes didn't quite line up.The instructions don't really say how tight the screen should be and could be A LOT better. The screen itself is decent. I'm not a videophile but the image is a lot nicer than the big roll of paper we had been using. With the velvety finish it looks like a much more expensive item. All in all I could probably make a do-it-yourself kit for a few bucks cheaper but this isn't bad for $160....

This review is from: FAVI 16:9/100-Inch Fixed Frame Projector Screen (FF-HD-100)We purchased this FAVI 100" Fixed screen and the Epson 8350 Projector! Goodbye TV, and hello almost embarrassing giant screen! We had an old Toshiba Projection TV that served us well for 10+ years, and started shopping for a replacement TV just in case. We wanted a large screen as we were use to a big picture for the kids and the News! The giant (- being 65 inches) LED's cost more than my husband's car and we did not want to spend that kind of $$! Our budget would have purchased a lower end 55" narrow LED and after a month of researching, we decided to give this a try instead. Our FAVI screen and Epson 8350 now laugh at the rest of the TV's in our house! We decided to invest in this and consider the replacement bulbs for the projector every couple of years just the cost of doing business and worth it for the fun with the kids! Weekend family night with the Disney DVD's and Video Games are unbelievable! The screen: Not hard to assemble like the other reviews state, just watch a FAVI how to put together video on you tube or simply read the instructions. It took us 2 hours. The black velvet (on a seriously sturdy aluminum frame) makes this look professional and not like the temporary "look" of the pull down screens. It is light weight, easy to put up. I didn't know what to expect with the screen material, it produces a superb picture and has some sort of tiny pixel material to reflect the light. The screen is also easy to install (literally two large screws on your wall and you are done- easy to take down if you need to), great design, and makes a great picture! I don't know how it could get any better and why you would spend more! Save up for it and get it!...
